Job Title: Collections Officer (Level 2)

Grade: G6 (£20,652 - £22,730)
Permanent: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Lincolnshire Archives is a large, busy, local authority record office, holding
documents relating to Lincolnshire and the historic diocese of Lincoln from the
11th Century to the present day.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Archivist to join the team
on a temporary 12 month contract. You will assist the Collections Team
Leader in delivering against Service and site plan targets. The work will
concentrate on new cataloguing and the retro-conversion and editing of
legacy catalogues as well as handling written and verbal enquiries.
Applicants should hold a degree and professional qualification in Archive
Administration and have a good knowledge of archive and local history
sources. Experience of cataloguing, preferably using CALM software, as well
as a familiarity with other IT software packages is also required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, for dealing with the public,
colleagues and volunteers are vital, as are accuracy, attention to detail, and
an ability to work to national standards and house style to agreed deadlines.
An ability to read Latin would also be desirable
Some Saturday working will be required.
