International Academic Projects are offering a 2 day workshop ' Globes:
History, Technology and Conservation' at, and in association with, the
National Maritime Museum, Greenwich on 13th and 14th of October 2009
conducted by Sylvia Sumira & Paul Cook.
This course is aimed at anyone interested in the history and technology,
deterioration and methods of preservation and conservation of terrestrial
and celestial globes from England and other parts of Europe. There will be
lectures, discussions, and pratical sessions with access to the important
collection of globes housed at the National Maritime Museum.
