GLASGOW CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT
The Robertson Centre for Biostatistics, part of the registered Glasgow
Clinical Trials Unit, is recognised internationally for the design, conduct
and analysis of clinical trials and other medical research projects.
Applications are invited for the following posts in statistics:
TRAINEE BIOSTATISTICIAN/STATISTICIAN
Salary: £25,623 - £28,839 (Trainee Biostatistician)/ £31,513 - £35,469
(Statistician) p.a.

This post is available as either a Statistician (grade 7) or as a Trainee
Biostatistician (grade 6).
At the statistician level you will work on a wide variety of statistical
projects in the biomedical area, develop your expertise as a statistical
consultant and contribute to published research. Experience in statistical
computing is essential.
At the trainee biostatistician level you will be able to conduct routine
statistical analyses and write reports on these. You will have basic
experience in statistical computing. You will undergo training in more
advanced statistical methods and programming.
This post has funding for 3 years in the first instance.

Salary: £25,623 - £28,839 (grade 6)/ £31,513 - £35,469 (grade 7) p.a.

This post is available at either grade 7 or at grade 6 level.
At grade 7 level you will contribute to the development and use of
innovative software solutions in the context of clinical research and
participate in the management of clinical research databases. Experience of
.NET or Java and development of web applications is essential.
At grade 6 level you will contribute to the development and use of
innovative software solutions in the context of clinical research and
participate in the management of clinical research databases under
supervision and with support. Experience of .NET or Java and development of
web applications would be an advantage.
