Hi Sharon--
Not sure if this will help in your situation. We use ezproxy. By excluding
the IP address of my office computer (and two at the reference desk) in
the configuration file, I am prompted to login at my PC as if I were a
remote user.
I can test user login problems and resource configuration problems with
this setup, but occasionally I need to confirm more complex errors from
home.
Let me know if you would like more info on the ezproxy configuration. Good
luck!
