Hi Sharon
As we find our resources behave differently depending on which network we're using (it's a long story) I've often found it necessary to test resources on the university network, the NHS network, and I often disconnect the network cable and check via mobile broadband as well to give me as close an experience as possible to users using a home connection.
The mobile broadband usbs are now, finally, thankfully, available on a 'pay as you go' basis rather than just a contract; I've found they work fine in city centres. (They're pretty lousy in the depths of the Devon countryside though still faster than my alleged 'broadband' home connection!)

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] Off-campus testing of eresources
Hi,
What arrangements do other institutions have for testing eresources off campus? Do you have access to broadband? We currently use dial up which is proving to be a little slow.
Many thanks,
Sharon
