The MA in Midwifery at Thames Valley University London offers an
opportunity to study by distance learning with full tutorial support,
for a full masters programme or a postgraduate certificate or diploma.
You may also wish to try a single module as a Certificate of Personal
and Professional Development and as a taster to fuller masters study.
You can study at home or at work, at times suited to you, or take some
of the optional modules which are taught face to face at the university.
The programme uses a virtual learning platform, as well as written
learning packs and resources, so you will need access to the internet to
participate fully.
About TVU London:
The Guardian’s university guide 2010, which compares 117 universities
across the UK, has rated TVU number one for nursing and paramedical
studies in England and number two nationally, coming second overall to
Edinburgh, having climbed from eighth place in last year’s league table.
The school’s ranking in The Guardian university guide builds on last
year’s achievements in the Research Assessment Exercise which saw 10 per
cent of its work in nursing and midwifery rated as 4* or world leading
in terms of originality, significance and rigour, while another 65 per
cent was judged as internationally excellent (3*) or internationally
recognised (2*)."
