Just to clarify, following Joe's email
Silverlight *isn't* an IE-only tool - it works fine with Firefox.
This is a non-Microsoft office/house/kitchen - even the cats are using
Chrome on their PDA's. I'm on Firefox 3.0.11 and the Brum zoomy pics I can
see are silky and scalable.

website
Hi,
I have had a brief look at the site and it looks very good, but I have
not had a chance to examine it further.
I just wanted to post a comment about the silverlight zooming issue. I
have seen it working on a windows machine and it looks good, but lack of
support for other browsers is a shame.
For web technology people, (not general users) Firefox use is about 47%
(and climbing)
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
Wikipedia (much more general user: has lower Firefox use ~22.51%, but
still very significant (IE only 65.5%)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers
Would it be possible to have an alternative zooming system presented for
non Internet Explorer browsers ?
Also, just for fun, I thought I would mention that there is (and there
are probably several others :-) a cross platform, open source,
alternative zooming system , called IIPImage,
http://iipimage.sourceforge.net/
I am currently using it for several research projects. One example
javascript viewer, (though it is not yet using the newest version of the
viewer, so not as smooth), can be found:
http://cima.ng-london.org.uk/collection This is a simple proof of
concept page but it works as a good example.
