We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team member with
proven collections management and communication skills to provide
effective care and interpretation of the Museum Service collections.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop the District Museum Service
based in Braintree, north Essex with varied collections including
archaeology and local history at Braintree District Museum and important
textile collections at the Warner Textile Archive.
Innovation and creativity will be required to meet the challenge of
responsibility for delivering a significant cataloguing and digitisation
project.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, project management and ICT
skills are essential with clear evidence of being able to prioritise and
manage your own workload. You must be able to demonstrate your
experience in a related role and preferably a post-graduate
qualification in Museum Studies, a related subject or Associateship of
the Museums Association (AMA).
