Hi,
McShib, May 26th, Wolfson Medical Building, University of Glasgow
I just wanted to let y'all know that the agenda for McShib is now
posted at: http://www.rsc-eden.co.uk/events/event_details.asp?eid=22
Places are filling up so if you do want to come book asap.
—---------------
Apologies for cross posting, but while I'm doing so maybe it's a good
time to ask what the function of all the various lists is now, as I'm a
bit unclear. We have
UKFEDERATION-DISCUSS: This list is used to discuss matters relating to
the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research.
(which seems to be fairly low traffic)
JISC-SHIBBOLETH: This list is used for general discussion regarding the
introduction of a Shibboleth-based authentication and authorisation
system within the UK's higher and further education and research
communities.
JISC-SHIBBOLETH-LIBRARIES
Discussion list for HE and FE library staff involved in implementing
federated access management.
I can understand why the library staff might want a separate list to
get away from us techies (although a lot of things do get cross posted
to both I notice) but what's the difference between the first two?
Maybe one of them should close down?
Regards
