Pay: £27,183 to £29,704 per annum
The University of Southampton, in collaboration with a consortium of Scottish Universities, has recently been awarded £5million by the ESRC to establish the UK's first ESRC funded Research Centre on Population Change. We are seeking to appoint a researcher to work on a project investigating the postponement and recuperation of fertility in Britain. You will be responsible for the statistical analysis of secondary data from a number of longitudinal datasets including the British Household Panel Survey, the 1958 and 1970 British Birth Cohort Studies. This research will then be linked with the Centre's other projects surrounding migration, fertility and ageing, enhancing understanding of the key drivers of population change and the implications for economic welfare and social support. You will have a postgraduate degree in a quantitative social science and experience in the management of large and complex datasets as well as excellent statistical analysis skills.
