The emphasis should not be on 'which UMPC to buy for the VLE?', but 'are
there things that we can do to our VLE to make it better for most mobile
devices' and you don't want to be specific to one device, but make changes
that cover most.
So buy one of each of a selection of small devices, see what you VLE looks
like on it, see if you can make some changes that improves the look on the
mobile devices but without ruining those using a full screen etc. You will
probably find that it is possible to make certain changes to the VLE in this
way.

Subject: [VLES] Use of Ultra Mobile PC's to access VLE's
Hi All,
Sorry, I think that this is slightly off topic but can anyone share with me
their experiences of introducing Ultra Mobile PC's to access VLE's.
I want to 'give' our students Ultra Mobile PC's to access our VLE but would
like some idea of which UMPC is best and what to consider when buying them.
Also, how have UMPC's been made available to students, have you sold,
rented, given them free?
Many thanks
