Hi Peter,
it depends on your software and version on the scanner.
For Siemens SoftwareVersions: 'syngo MR B13 4VB13A ' eg. you can get the
following informations:
hdr.SequenceName: '*ep_b800#12 ' tells you that the b-value was 800
index=strmatch('B_value',cellstr(char(hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo.name)))
b_value=hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo(index).item(1).val
should give you the same result 800
be crefull with the direction information, there was a bug in one of the
software versions:
index=strmatch('DiffusionGradientDirection',cellstr(char(hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo.name)))
b_dirs=cat(2,hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo(index).item(1:3).val)
better use b_matrix:
index=strmatch('B_matrix',cellstr(char(hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo.name)))
b_matrix=cat(2,hdr{1}.CSAImageHeaderInfo(index).item(1:3).val)
Best
Michael.
