Thanks Dave - I love Stan Brakhage's reminiscence of Micael McClure. But are McClure, Dorn, Leary etc "Beats"? But apart from that question - it's a lovely & quirky site, as you say. The only one of these weirdos I've seen in the flesh was Ginsberg, in Frankfurt, with his lover & various musicians in a strangely eclectic disco that did cabaret, modern jazz as well as rock etc, back in the 70s when all was possible & the beer was cheap. Ah, sweet bird of youf (sniffling over his Château de La Selve)...
