Hyphen a typographic forum has been planned, edited and published for the
last ten years
by Klimis Mastoridis. After twelve issues, six volumes and almost 2.000
pages, the ten-year
anniversary volume (vol. 7, no 13) has now reached library and bookstore
shelves.
This issue includes (among other papers):
A Greek translation (by Artemis Yagou) of Victor Margolin's "Narrative
Problems of Graphic Design History";
"Á cross-media typographic framework: teaching typographic skills in a
convergent media"
by Joyce S.R. Yee (Northumbria University);
and
"Ìethods and tools for sustainable design", by Kika Ioannou-Kazamia
(University of Nicosia),.
Hyphen welcomes papers on typography and graphic communication and
contributions at
the meeting places between typography and other disciplines. The editor will
be accepting
contributions till the end of May 2009 and endeavours to acknowledge
receipt within fifteen days after the contribution has arrived.
On acceptance, we will ask contributors to supply their work as a
word-processed file.
Illustrative matter, in digital or conventional form, accompanying the text,
should be in an acceptable form to allow for the best possible reproduction.
Proofs are sent to contributors about two months before publication.
Contributors receive without charge two copies of the relevant volume.
