Centre for Film & Media Studies, Faculty of Humanities
The Centre for Film & Media Studies (CFMS) within the Faculty of
Humanities seeks to appoint a new member of staff, for appointment as
soon as possible.
This post is intended to for a candidate with a strong interest in
television studies. Creative involvement in television production or
scriptwriting and an interest in film studies would be desirable.
The successful candidates will be expected to undertake and supervise
research and creative projects.
Applicants must be in possession of a Master's degree. Progress
towards a PhD would be a strong recommendation. Experience in
tertiary-level teaching, and supervision of academic and creative
projects is a further perquisite, while industry experience will
strengthen an application.
The annual remuneration package, including benefits, is R332,221.
