36 hours per week.
Term-time only (plus two weeks) will be considered.
The William Morris Sixth Form, situated in Hammersmith, is the country’s first
16-19 comprehensive school. We offer 800 students from all over West
London an exciting range of academic and vocational courses at levels 1 to 3.
Our Ofsted inspection in November 2006 graded us as ‘outstanding.’
We now have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Deputy Learning Resources
Manager to support the Director of Learning Resources in continuing to
develop our excellent LRC. This represents a superb career opportunity with
WMSF presently in wave 6 of the BSF programme and consequently planning
exciting new facilities and a new e-learning environment.
We are seeking candidates who have:
•a CILIP accredited/approved information management/science degree or
professional qualification
•a keen interest in supporting the information services needs of a socially and
academically diverse range of students
•excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills
•knowledge of the theory and delivery of information literacy
•the ability to supervise two LRC assistants
•the ability to work as a team player in a friendly professional school
•excellent ICT skills, possibly including experience of VLE content creation
