We are currently advertising for a Digital Preservation Archivist at King's College London to work on our latest JISC project, PEKin (Preservation Exemplar at King's). This new project is a joint venture between the KCL Archives & Corporate Records Service (ACRS) and the Centre for e-Research (CeRch) which is likely to have significant impact at King's and beyond.
The role offers the opportunity to innovate around the interface between traditional archival methodologies and the new discipline of digital preservation. The post holder will take a lead within the project team on decisions relating to archives and records management processes and practices. They will carry out on site data audits throughout the College, liaising with administrators and researchers across diverse departments and disciplines. They will create documentation, develop procedures and workflows and support project administration, communication and dissemination.
Salary will be on the Grade 6 scale, currently £32,917 - £38,855 per annum inclusive (18 month contract).
