You're thinkng the same way as me. If there is a common ability to automate
a nightly dump of the patient list details to a CSV then I could develop
something quick and dirty that would work cross systems to add some
functionality without having to get involved with the various clinical
systems individual record systems.
I think the old emis ability to do this throws out the csv to a floppy (!)
and was presumably a legacy requirement for one of the RFAs so I was hopeful
all systems might have the same inbuilt.
-----snip midge---
Can they be exported to a csv or text file?
Can the process of exporting be automated - every evening export to
the same file?
Can the process be driven by a command line thus allowing the
clinical system to be told to export a file containing the selected details
into a pipe to pass through external filters thus allowing ideas thought of
by someone else to be implemented and arbitrary functionality to be added to
the Practice's business automation?
