Suggest you consider ruggedised laptop of the kind used by journalists, medics
and military etc - will withstand the water and could go to the IT trainer.
Tablet version might address some of the washing of notes issues?

You could ask a DSA supplier of they are willing to try to source one of these
before going outside the DSAQAG approved list?
