I know of two Data Protection Officers whose DNA was taken in circumstances
very similar to this teacher.
This is because they have contacted me to discuss their predicament
Basically, they see young teenager intimidating pensioner/someone vulnerable
- they intervene - scuffle ensues - teenager goes off and calls police later
claiming common assault - police make arrest - DNA taken - Police take no
further action but keep DNA.
If you know anyone in this position, this might be of interest.
