Archives Customer Services Assistant
£18,843 - £19,929 p.a. inc. pro rata

Part-time, 14.5 hours per week
This is your chance to gain the specialist skills needed to manage and preserve
archives and research local history. Committed to excellent customer service,
you will supervise the search room, respond to enquiries, advise customers on
the use of archives and local studies sources, and retrieve documents from
secure storage areas.
Alongside strong communication and administration skills, you will have a knack
for gaining an understanding of the collections held by the Archives and how
to access them. Whether you are a graduate who will apply for a postgraduate
training course after this role, or someone interested in local and social
history, you will need direct experience of dealing with customers.
You will also be expected to work every Saturday.
