Apologies re the advert for the photostat camera and to everyone who
already knows what it is. I had assumed (obviously wrongly!) that anyone
who might want this would know what it was. It's a camera for taking
large format photographs and has a camera head mounted above a roughly
4' square copy board. The camera stands about 6' high. Behind the camera
there is an extendable platform of about 10'. This platform houses the
trays of developer and fixer. There is a large roll of negative film
(roughly 18" wide) in the camera. Various sizes of film are exposed with
a hand operated shutter, then the film is wound down into the first
tray, developed then fixed in the second tray. Thus you have a large
format negative. If a positive is needed the process is repeated by
photographing the negative. I hope this will clear up any confusion. If
anyone would like it they would need to be responsible for removing it.
