I've been asked to investigate online reputation monitoring.
We (the learndirect web team) currently do this informally using a variety
of different products and services - Google alerts, Technorati blog
monitoring and Yahoo! Sideline to monitor Twitter. If we see anything
interesting we pass it on to our PR/Comms team.
We're keen to do this in a more structured/formal manner. Does anyone use or
know of any products or services that bring all of these into one place?
We're keen to produce automated reports and be able to track activity over
time rather than just taking ad-hoc snapshots.
All our PR agencies say they can do this for us for a fee and we're not
averse to paying for the service. Equally we're thinking we could use a
variety of RSS feeds from all these disparate services and just build a
front end to bring it all together in a digestable format.
Any suggestions or advice on either approach would be appreciated.
