CALL FOR PAPERS
CHINESE ECONOMY-SPECIAL ISSUE
Theme: Understanding the Chinese Economy through the Lens of Social
Networks and Agent-Based Models.
Special Issue Guest Editor: Nicholas S. P. Tay
Submission Deadline: May 1, 2010
The bimonthly journal, Chinese Economy, published by M.S. Sharpe
Publishing Co., offers an objective and analytical account of the
economic issues about China. The Journal contains two important
features -- unabridged translations of important articles from Chinese
sources (primarily influential scholarly journals and publications in
China) and original, unpublished works written by scholars all over the
world. The refereed Journal provides readers with useful information on
China¡¯s economic development, for conducting future research, and for
understanding important policy implications.
The Chinese Economy will be running a special issue that focuses on
applying social networks and agent-based models to shed light on all
aspects of the Chinese economy. The aim of this special issue is to bring to
the attention of business scholars cutting-edge research tools from social
networks and agent-based modeling research and in doing so we hope to
uncover new relationships and gain a better appreciation and
understanding of various aspects of the Chinese economy. This special
issue also hope to serve as an interdisciplinary venue for collaboration
and exchange of ideas between business scholars and researchers in
social networks and agent-based modeling.
Thanks to Prof. Leigh Tesfatsion for bringing to my attention some of the
following resources for business scholars who are not familiar with agent-
based modeling.
