I am currently writing a paper about teaching methods and I am researching
the best teaching methods for our subject (dance) as a theoretical and
practical study. I am trying to find out which methods dance
teachers/lecturers have found the most effective in delivering dance
appreciation. Particular methods I am interested in are:
1. Use of feedback
2. Whole class interactive teaching
3. Visual representations and graphic organisers
4. Decision desicions
5. Reciprocal teaching
This list is not exhaustive and I appreciate any information about methods you
have found to be particulalry effective.
I am keen to discover how these methods have been implmented into the
class and the teachers/lecturers interpretation of how and why this was an
effective method. Specific examples of how you used a method within your
subject or linked to prfessional works greatly appreciated.
I would be delighted if you could give me your thoughts on this and/or forward
to any dance teachers/lecturers you feel would like to contribute their
thoughts. I will of course share any findings and resources that are created as
a result of this study.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
