Dear Adam,
I believe the bone item is a stilleto used to make holes in fabric in
cut work and broderie anglais.
I think the metal item is a gadget for making darns in socks etc.

Hello
Two mystery items for you to get your Friday morning / afternoon juices
flowing...
'tools 001' and 'tools 002' - this item has been tentatively identified
by a predecessor as a 'knitting tool (?)' - any ideas?
'tools 003' and 'tools 004' - appears to be made of bone / ivory (can
anyone tell the difference between these two materials, just by looking
at the pics?) - appears to have been turned on a lathe (?) - quite a
nice little item really - presumed to be for some kind of textile craft
(?)
They are both small items.
The metal item is only 104 mm long by 5 mm wide
The bone / ivory item is only 75 mm long by 10 mm wide (max.)
Many thanks
Adam
