I'd also be curious to know what happend.
NTFS support is built into recent Linux kernels -- any distribution
should be able to access your Windows drives. Ubuntu comes with the
NVidia drivers by default -- there is no need to install them manually.
What versions of Ubuntu did you try? How did you try to install FSL?
