You're right - I filled out a bug report and it was fixed by 2.6.1 so
that patch shouldn't be necessary.

I'll install OpenSuse 11.1 with python 2.6.1 and tcl/tk 8.5.6 later
this morning, I think this will be the quickest way to trace this
error - will keep you informed!

PS I take it that the problem is with a 64 bit machine - if not I'll
make sure I do a 32 bit install.
