(The language of the courses is Italian)
A week of training on agent-based simulation. The courses issue certificates
and formative credits. The programming language is Netlogo (no previous
knowledge is required)
Objective: To make the student able to create computational models of social
phenomena, such as the coordination between agents, the emergence and change
of simple regulatory systems, the use of reputation.
Some theoretical issues:
- Relations between Economics and Cognitive Science
- Computational modeling
- Game theory vs. Agent based modeling
- Generative models
Some applicative issues:
Financial problems.
The behavior of the “herd” in the commodity markets
GARCH, or because everything starts to change without a why?
Derivatives demystified
Real economy.
Agent Computational Economy, ACE
Social phenomena
to coordinate
to compete
to evaluate others
to behave well: the conventions and rules
to behave badly: the deviance
Policy
Mechanism design
Unity is strength: the mechanisms for sharing resources
