Hi Catherine,
I fear it is a pretty common - I hear of this attitude frequently when
discussing challenges for take up of PE by postgrads - but second/third hand
as I'm not directly working with students or postgrads. It seems in many
cases to be perceived as an (unnecessary?) add-on. It would be great to know
of documentation on this, but also evidence that supports the logic that
research (applied or other) is 'better' as a result of the outreach.
Best wishes,
Heather
