Hi Nick,
hope the following is useful;
In terms of digital participation The Manchester Museum currently
offers over 250 videos on its YouTube channel which have had over 100,
000 views to date. The majority of this content is presently from the
award winning Collective Conversations project which enables source
communities to voice their opinions on the objects in the museum
collections. More information can be found here;
http://www.museum.manchester.ac.uk/community/collectiveconversations/
We also offer digital participation via 7 blogs covering topics from
the Ancient Eypt collection with over 19,000 views to the Lindow Man
temporary exhibition with over 12,000 views. We currently operate 7
blogs and will be increasing on this number in the immediate future.
Having recently set up a twitter account which is proving to be useful
in terms of signposting our other online presences such as social
media such as our facebook group.
Our developing Flickr presence provides digital content and digital
participation, allowing visitors to see work taking place behind the
scenes, access developing material and share images taken on visits.
This has received over 1,500 views since January.
Digital access is provided onsite in our Resource Centre along with
wireless access and for digital content visitors can search our
collections database via the museum website and access a range of
learning materials provided for pre and post visit activities.
Access to all of the above can be found here;
