The test document link on the title page of supplied SEDs and the link on the BL's SED Page (www.bl.uk/sed) now both run an Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) detector in order to ensure compatibility with Adobe Content Server 4. The old test document, I provided this list with the URL link earlier this month, should no longer be used as it runs a test document that utilises the soon to be defunct Adobe Content Server 3 only. In order to continue to receive SEDs you will need to convert to using ADE. (You need to talk to BLDSC about your options if ADE is not available to you asap).
However, the ADE Detector utilises a specific port, 8091, which is often blocked by local firewalls. If you find that the test document is not running then you will need to talk to your IT department and ask them to enable the 8091 port to the .bl.uk address range.
Finally, I understand that the request to enter your User Code on the ADE Detector page will shortly be removed - that should help relieve some confusion for our users!
Cheers
Graham
