Hello,
I'm interested in using the mat files output from flirt as input into an itk
based registration program. I'm having some trouble figuring out how to
interpret the mat files.
This is what I've assumed so please tell me which are the poorest assumptions.
for instance say i created a mat file using the following.
flirt -in A.nii -ref B.nii -out out.mat -dof 6
1) everything is in mm.
2) flirt respects the origins of the nii files.
3) the rotation is about (0,0,0) in the world coordinates
with these assumptions given pt_a in the world coordinates of image A, the
correponding pt_b in the world coods of image B is given by
pt_b = M pt_a; with M being the matrix stored in the .mat file.
Needless to say I wouldn't be here if this was working correctly, so i was
hoping someone could point me to where my problem is.
Thanks
Luke
