The first European Articulate conference – call for contributions
1. What?
2. When and where?
3. Why?
4. What can you do?
Dear colleagues,
The call for contributions is now open for the first European conference
dedicated to one of the best e-learning packages out there: Articulate Studio
09. Join us in Leeds on the 7th of May and you will have the opportunity to
meet and interact with like-minded professionals, as well as WIN an Articulate
Studio 09 Pro license (RRP: $1,846).
1. What? Articulate Studio 09 is a superb user-friendly, powerful and flexible
suite of tools which you can use to create engaging multimedia content. It
integrates with MS PowerPoint and allows you to incorporate voice, video,
Flash interactions and versatile quizzes into visually appealing packages to be
delivered online, within VLEs or on CD-ROMs.
2. When and where? 7 May, 2009, at the University of Leeds, UK.
3. Why? There are many academics and e-learning practitioners in Europe
using Articulate Studio and getting great feedback from their audiences. This
event will provide an opportunity to explore the full functionality of Articulate,
discuss best practice, learn from other users and talk to the developers. The
event will attract a mixture of academics, learning technologists, established
representatives from the e-learning industry and also expert friends from
Articulate.com. Join us for a fun and useful day and the opportunity to WIN an
Articulate Studio 09 Pro license.
4. What can you do?
4. 1. Sign up for one of the 2 extended slots (30 minutes) to present in detail
the work you have been doing with Articulate (please send an outline of your
presentation to Dragos Ciobanu [log in to unmask] by 3 April), or
4. 2. Come prepared to make an active contribution to the day, take part in
our activities, experiment, discuss and choose ways to improve online content.
We are looking for approximately 10 participants to take 5 minutes each to
share with the group how they have been using Articulate Studio to enhance
their teaching (please let Dragos Ciobanu [log in to unmask] know by 3
April), and/or
4. 3. Share your work with the community (please send links to your work to
Dragos Ciobanu [log in to unmask] by 5 May to showcase at
www.leeds.ac.uk/articulate/conference). 10 laptops will be available on the
day to share and discuss examples of good practice.
You are also more than welcome to join the pre and after event forum at
http://articulateleeds.ning.com/forum. I am looking forward to hearing from
you. The Conference Programme will be published on the 6th of April. The
registration will also be open on the 6th of April. Because of the interactive
nature of the conference, places will be limited to 60.
Best wishes,
Dragos
