An issue that was probably raised some time ago is one of security in the
research room. I know that different institutions have different ways of
approaching the problem according to staffing or financial resources available
I would like to hear from those institutions who have favoured the
introduction of hyper-sensitive weighing scales in research rooms in order to
weigh files before handing them to researchers and again, when handed back.
Does that work? Would it really solve the issue of tedious page numbering (I
am expecting a negative answer to that one...)? Is it reliable? Is it expensive?
What kind of machines are they?
