Lift produces and presents interactive arts experiences that enable people to
make meaningful connections on a local, national and international level.
Lift is offering 2 placement opportunities for people who wish to develop their
skills in preparation for a career in the creative and cultural sector. Placements
will be based at Lift’s new office in Trinity Buoy Wharf, London, E14 0JW.
1)Lift Living Archive Placement (April – June, 2/3 days a week)
The Lift Living Archive contains documents, photographs, prints, objects, audio
and video recordings tracing Lift’s first 20 years as one of Europe’s leading arts
organisations presenting international art experiences at venues and unusual
sites across London. The Lift Living Archive is held at Special Collections,
Goldsmiths, University of London Library and an online version of the catalogue
will be available this year.
Lift is preparing to publically launch the Archive and online catalogue in June
this year.
Lift is seeking someone who is organized and personable to assist the
Communications Director in securing photographic copyright of images in the
online catalogue in time for the launch event. The placement will also be
assisting with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the launch event.
2) Data Management Placement (mid April – July, 1 day a week)
Lift is also seeking someone who is comfortable with learning new computer
software to assist the Development team with the implementation of specialist
Development database Raiser’s Edge.
