VACANCY: Quantitative Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Postgraduate qualified (at least M.Sc., Ph.D. preferred) mathematician required to work as a Quantitative Analyst for our dynamic football betting consultancy. We expect a self-motivated individual with experience in developing and implementing mathematical or statistical models. Your CV should speak for itself.

We offer a relaxed, but professional and fast paced working environment and an excellent salary package, depending on experience and qualifications.

As part of the Quantitative Team the role will involve researching and applying innovative new methods to develop and implement predictive statistical models for betting on football matches and other sporting events.

The successful candidate will also be involved in the maintenance and continual review of existing models, making improvements wherever possible, in order to provide a basis for our traders to make profitable betting decisions on behalf of our clients.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         Post graduate qualification (at least M.Sc., Ph.D. preferred) in mathematics, statistics or another subject with considerable mathematical content

*         Experience in developing and implementing mathematical or statistical models

*         Knowledge and experience of computer programming (preferably in C++, C, R or Python)

*         Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with a versatile approach to problem solving

*         The ability to plan, analyse and evaluate work as required

DESIRABLE SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         Experience of using relational databases (preferably MySQL)

*         An interest in and knowledge of football

*         A good record of strong team working skills

Highly numerate first class graduate required to work as a Data Manager for our dynamic football betting consultancy. We expect a self-motivated individual with a keen interest in football and sporting data. You should have skills in data management and analysis, and a sharp eye for detail. We offer a relaxed, but professional and fast paced working environment and an excellent salary package, depending on experience and qualifications.

As part of the Quantitative Team the role will involve proactively ensuring the quality of a wide variety of data used for predictive statistical models for betting on football matches and other sporting events.

The successful candidate will also be involved in continuously finding new and improved data sources, making improvements to our data wherever possible, and working with the team to develop a suite of tools and scripts for ensuring data integrity.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         A first or upper second class degree in mathematics, statistics or another subject with considerable mathematical content

*         Experience in dealing with large datasets and performing data analyses

*         An interest in and knowledge of football

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experienced programmer with a first class degree in a numerical subject required to work as a Statistical Programmer for our dynamic football betting consultancy. We expect a self-motivated individual with a proven record of developing software and programs of a mathematical or numerical nature. You will have experience developing in both scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Php, R etc) and compiled languages (e.g. C, C++, Fortran). Your CV should speak for itself.

We offer a relaxed, but professional and fast paced working environment and an excellent salary package, depending on experience and qualifications.

As part of the Quantitative Team the role will involve writing software and scripts to support the team's development of predictive statistical models for betting on football matches and other sporting events.

The successful candidate will also be involved in writing scripts for processing data for use within our models and working with the team to develop a suite of tools and scripts for ensuring data integrity.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         A first class degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or another subject with considerable mathematical content

*         At least 2 years commercial experience experience of computer programming (both scripting and compiled languages)

*         Experience of using relational databases (preferably MySQL)

*         Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with a versatile approach to problem solving

*         The ability to plan, analyse and evaluate work as required

Highly numerate graduate required to work as a Football Trader / Analyst for our dynamic football betting consultancy. We expect a self-motivated individual and hard working individual with an encyclopedic knowledge of football. Your schedule will be dictated by the times of football matches meaning you must have a flexible approach to working hours. Your CV should speak for itself.

We offer a relaxed, but professional and fast paced working environment and an excellent salary package, depending on experience and qualifications.

As part of an important team, the role will involve in-depth analysis of both past and upcoming football matches. The successful candidate will be able to consolidate a wide range of information, in order to help make profitable betting decisions on behalf of our clients.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         A first or upper second class degree in a subject with high mathematical and / or statistical content (with an A in A-Level mathematics)

*         In-depth knowledge and huge passion for football (this will be thoroughly tested at interview stage)

*         Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines

*         The ability to plan, analyse and evaluate work as required

DESIRABLE SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

*         Literacy in I.T.

*         Proficiency in a foreign language

*         Acute attention to detail
