Once before I think I quoted an academic survey about teaching and lecturing
nerves. Several reported a quick vomit before commencing duty.
My old friend Wystan Curnow, once on this list but too busy writing the
biographer of Colin McCahon the great NZ painter, noted that he believed he was
the only lecturer to have vomited during a lecture. He was art lecturer on a
Pacific cruise liner.
