Thanks for the url, Martin. Her voice seemed 'pushed' in this, but not
unsettlingly so.
It's a haunting song; what's the history? Re the OTT, a real nostalgia
there for all the stuff that since the 60s embarrasses folks, prolly most
particularly, USAmericans. We seem, still, rather mired in 'cool'----which
isn't Real Cool, but rather the emotion-distance aka intellectualism of well
I'm not sure whose or whats. It's the thing that says getting emotional's
silly or bad. Far as I can tell, the only time false-cool folk seem normal
is when they're on the subject of their little kids.
