**Managing your career**
The Career Development Group (CDG), East of England Division, is organising a
one-day event in Cambridge on Monday 30th March at The Morison Room,
Cambridge University Library, West Road, Cambridge. The **Managing your
career** event also includes the CDG AGM, which will take place during the
lunchtime break.
The aim of **Managing your career** is to provide information, help and
advice on various aspects of career choices.
The programme of presentations will cover a variety of topics from personal
skills assessment, CV writing, identifying the right job, to presentations
from current professional librarians on their career paths.
The objectives of the event are:
* To show how improvements can be made to a CV
* To provide delegates with an understanding of how to succeed in
interviews
* To raise awareness of how to analyse skills and re-skill for the
future
* To illustrate through presentations from librarians some of the
career paths available
The Career development Group has been awarded the CILIP Seal of Recognition
(http://www.cilip.org.uk/qualificationschartership/seal)
All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
Delegate costs:
CDG members: £15 + £2.25 VAT = £17.25
Non CDG members: £17+£2.55 VAT = £19.55
Unemployed and LIS students: £5 + £.75 VAT = £5.75
