Years back @ QE2 in Albany,
Lux and band were like Jerome Sala
and Iggy Pop and sweet Gene Vincent
rolled into one...stimulating the phenomena
of light reflection in an other-wise
sparse medium of a world.
Did he take that moniker - Lux Interior - from a great personal sense
of internal delight, or a 50's advert for say an Oldsmobile or, better yet,
a
Hudson!!
That and more--the underworld too...
May the 'stimulus package' in progress give us back - well, us here in the
USA -
our 'Lux Interior'. With the huge unemployment figures - close to 600,000 in
one month, and a zillion home forclosures - the domestic interior around
here is looking might tawdry:
Torn curtains, breezes through the broken windows, eggs that won't fry (no
gas).
Lux is really gone.
