This looks to me like a well-meaning initiative, but one which can only end
up wasting a lot of peoples' time without producing any outcome that climate
negotiators will take any notice of.

But then maybe that is the point ... and it's not well meaning at all, but a
way of deliberately diverting campaigners' time and energy into something
completely unproductive!

I wonder what people think of this initiative? It seems to arise from the
right wing Danish government. I wonder if it will be used to justify
inaction? From the few opinion polls I have seen of the views of citizens
around the world, most don't seem to be as concerned about climate change as
we campaigners are. Or am I just unnecessarily suspicious?
