Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Information Technology Law (Cyberlaw)
You will be an active researcher with interests in, and a willingness to teach, in the field of Information Technology Law. In particular, you will be expected to teach the core “Cyberlaw” (Information Technology Law) module on the existing LLM programme in Cyberlaw: Information Technology, Law and Society and other postgraduate and undergraduate modules (as appropriate) based upon your specific areas of expertise. You will have a honours degree and have an appropriate postgraduate qualification in law.
For the Senior Lecturer post you will be expected to be an experienced teacher, have a significant research and publication record and to be able to demonstrate appropriate administrative and leadership skills. A track record of raising external research income would be advantageous.
The appointment offers considerable potential for personal initiative and fulfillment through work within a dynamic and growing Law School that was highly rated in the RAE 2008 (55% academic staff rated at 3* or 4*). There are also opportunities for personal development within the wider University, including its Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Law and Faculty of Business, and the important legal professional hub in the city of Leeds.
