Hi,
We are Speech and Language Therapists working in NE London. We have
developed a project called ‘Video Profiling’ that we have been piloting in the
London Borough of Redbridge in mainstream and special schools.
Video Profiling is a way of securely sharing information regarding learning,
communication and independence skills of children with complex Speech,
Language and Communication needs. It was developed by two Speech and
Language Therapists working in special school and mainstream school
environments. Videos of children's skills and achievements are collected and
compiled into a Video Profile. The Video Profile can be accessed by people
working with that child to celebrate achievements, monitor progress and make
decisions about intervention.
We have recently had an article published in the Royal College of Speech and
Language Therapist’s (RCSLT) ‘Bulletin’ magazine:

Our website has been evolving over the past 12 months and we now attract
visitors from the UK, USA, Australia, India, Cyprus and Germany. As our
website develops it will also be able to securely host ‘Video Profiles’ to our
members.
Chris recently attended two SENCO cluster meetings in Rebdridge (on the
5/2/09 and 10/2/09) to present Video Profiling to school SENCOs. Feedback
from the SENCOs is currently being gathered and, to date, has been very
positive. To have a look at the presentation visit

To find out more about Video Profiling and how we feel children, families,
schools and professionals can benefit go to www.videoprofiling.co.uk.
Thank you very much for your time.
