"The Times" 10th Jan Books section, p16, had an article on
adjectives derived from writers, eg Pinteresque, Orwellian, Shavian,
Shakespearian [for politicians they end in "-ite," eg Blairite]. The
adjective pertaining to Kipling is I believe
"Kiplingesque" ("Kiplingian" sounds wrong?).
I do not see that this has yet been dealt with in the NRG; it is not
found by the Kipling Journal search. Does anyone know when the term
was first coined, and by whom?
