Thanks Sotira for info on your blog - we will include it on our astronomy list, name-checking the women contributors:

The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology is running a different sort of blog for the International Year of Astronomy: once a month a different woman writes a one-off entry. We are going to have a spread of contributors, not just pure astronomers: an observatory architect, a roboticist etc. Our first blogger of the year, Lucy Rogers, is all sorts of things - an engineer, computer consultant, amateur astronomer and into rockets in a big way. Do check it out and send in your comments and questions:

And join us in London on 12 march for the launch of the UK 'She is an astronomer' programme, part of IYA 2009:

Not sure if this blog has been mentioned yet but as part of the International year of Astronomy 50 astronomers worldwide, myself included, are participating in a project called "Cosmic Diary" which follows the everyday lives of the astronomers, and shows the human face of science.
At the end of the projecta book and documentary with feature articles by each of the astronomers will be published.
The link to cosmic diary can be found here, with attempts to live blog from the special events that have been arranged for IYA 2009
