Valuing our life support systems
April 29 – May 1 2009, London
The Natural Capital Initiative is organising an exciting symposium to help value and safeguard our environmental assets.
We all depend on the capital base provided by the earth’s natural resources – our Natural Capital. A new framework called the ecosystem approach will help us to value the goods and services provided by our natural environments and lead to better decision-making about using and managing our natural resources. Join delegates and speakers from government, parliament, research, agencies, business and NGOs to discuss the challenges of applying the ecosystem approach, identify gaps in science and policy, and explore solutions.
For further information, programme details, prices and registration please visit www.naturalcapitalinitiative.org.uk
Early registration is advisable to secure early-bird rates.
The Natural Capital Initiative is a partnership of; The Institute of Biology, The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, The British Ecological Society and the Science Council.
Thank you and best wishes for 2009,
