Dear Lis-link member,
I'm writing to ask for volunteers to be interviewed as part
of a JISC-funded scoping study being conducted by EDINA into the value
of a service that would collect, aggregate and analyse usage log data
from OpenURL resolver services in UK Higher Education. As part of
this study, EDINA wishes to gather information and views from staff in
libraries who are using OpenURL resolver services.
Interviews would last approximately 30 minutes. I would like to
discuss your choice to collect or not collect usage log data; the data
that you collect and the uses to which you put those data; your
willingness to permit harvesting of your data for aggregation of data
from other institutions to create a database on which new services may
be developed; and any legal, technical, administrative or policy
issues that might restrict sharing or use of shared data.
If you are responsible for this area of work within your institution
and are willing to be interviewed, I'd be grateful if you'd contact me
and suggest a time for interview.
Thanks and best wishes
Leah Halliday
