**Apologies for cross-posting**
Hi, I realise that, with the release of John Houghton and Charles
Oppenheim's report on the economics of open access in the UK*, it might
be ironic for me to be asking for your views on repositories and access
management. However, there are scenarios in which access to material in
repositories needs to be managed, and I'd like to ask your views on
these and their relative importance. Please see here for more details:
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/whatwedo/programmes/digitalrepositories2007/famandrepositories.aspx
There is a link from here to a report compiled by Mark Hedges and
colleagues at King's College London, and to a consultation website using
the Ideascale system:
http://jiscfamrepositories.ideascale.com/
If you'd like to express a view on which scenarios should be priorities
for investment, please use this to do so. The consultation will be open
until the end of February.
Best wishes
Neil
