Position: UNI-form system development officer
Location: London
Rate: £19.50 to £23.50 per hour
Duration: 4 Months +
Generics client have an immediate requirement for a UNI-form system
development officer to work from their offices in London on a 4 month
contract (with possible extensions) This is an immediate requirements with
interviews being held asap.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support the development of a private sector stock condition database by
expanding existing service systems.
To support data cleansing of existing information on service systems, and
amend codes and templates to enable further development of the system to
meet the changing needs of the service improvement programme.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out data cleansing as and when necessary. When appropriate,
line manager temporary officers brought in to work on data cleansing projects.
To maintain compliance standards with internal corporate systems
e.g. LLPG
To assist in the collection of premises information in relation to
aspects of the Housing & Public Protection services performance by assisting
with the production of regular reports from the UNI-form system.
To assist with the creation of system based monitoring tools and
integrate these into performance analysis provided by the service.
To create system performance reports using MS Access and the
reporting tool integrated into the system.
To liaise directly with the software supplier (IDOX) and manage the
creation of bespoke scripts for system use.
To maintain interfaces between UNI-form and external systems used
for the electronic transfer of data e.g. LAEMS, Consumer Direct.
To carry out data matching exercises in preparation for data load or
data
Analysis and carrying out data loads of identified data into the
system.
To assist in the testing of new module upgrades.
To assess and monitor the quality of data in the UNI-form Housing
and Public Protection modules.
To maintain training plans for the learning and development needs of
UNI-form system users.
Create, update, delete and maintain UNI-form user accounts.
PERSON SPECIFICATION / SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
CAPS/IDOX UNI-form system using the Housing, Environmental Health or
Trading Standard modules.
KNOWLEDGE
Have experience or knowledge of the CAPS/IDOX UNI-form system using the
Housing, Environmental Health and Trading Standard modules would be
beneficial.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To be familiar with MS Access for the creation of reports for
performance monitoring, data validation and exporting.
Experience of working on a system development project specifically
around data collection, data checking, cleansing and data input.
Ability to quickly learn new and varied IT skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, to a detailed product
specification.
Ability to deliver a technical/system builds or product to compliment
business process reviews.
Experience of working in preparation for external audit and measure.
